Είκοσι τετραγωνικά, με ένα πατάρι για αποθήκη. Σε αυτό το μέγεθος ο περιορισμός δεν είναι εμπόδιο, είναι η ίδια η συνθήκη του σχεδιασμού.

Το κατάστημα οργανώνεται για το take away. Ο καφές μπροστά, το φαγητό πίσω. Η πρόσοψη ανοίγει, ώστε το σερβίρισμα να γίνεται προς τα έξω και ο πελάτης να μη χρειάζεται να μπει.

Το εσωτερικό είναι ασπρόμαυρο, με ωμές επιφάνειες: επίχρισμα, σκυρόδεμα, τούβλο. Πάνω τους μαύρες μεταλλικές κατασκευές και, ως θερμό αντίβαρο, κόντρα πλακέ.

Όλες οι επιγραφές είναι φτιαγμένες στο χέρι, με τεχνική American sign painting, σε παλιά γραμματοσειρά με μεγάλα κεφαλαία.

Twenty square metres, with a loft above for storage. At that size the constraint is not the obstacle, it is the design condition.

The shop is organised for take-away. Coffee at the front, food towards the back. The frontage opens so drinks are served outward and the customer never has to come in.

The interior is black and white over raw surfaces (plaster, concrete, brick) with black metal structures on top of them and plywood as the warm counterweight.

Every label is hand-painted using American sign-painting technique, in an old-fashioned face set in large capitals.
